Acne Scars

Acne scars are distressing, often more so than acne,  it is much more difficult to treat.

Acne scars may be  diminished by a combination of:

  • Dermaroller
  • PRP treatment
  • Filler treatments

However, it is not possible to completely remove acne scars, improvement in the appearance of scarring would be the objective

Acne scars may be deep scars which can be filled with dermal filler. This is a temporary treatment to smooth out the skin but with repeated treatment scars do diminish and skin becomes clearer and smoother.

Acne can also leave pigmentation around the site where spots have been. This is called post inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) and can usually be improved by treatments that increase the rate of skin cell turnover and specialist serums that inhibit the action of melanocytes in the skin.

At Skinqure we have a variety of treatments to treat both active acne and the scarring. These are not available as NHS treatments.

We use dermarollers, dermal fillers, skin peels and creams to improve the appearance of the skin.

Whilst scarring is difficult to treat improvements can be made with the right approach

Treatments start at £100 per session.
